Breaking Bad Habits
[disclosure] Good morning! Surprise – my children are out of school again! I don’t think we had this many holidays when I was a child. Maybe I have forgotten some days off, but it seems like there are more now. Am I showing my age? Should I be shaking my fist at a cloud? Haha! My son says that I’m grumpy – he’s a teenager. Anything I say that doesn’t give him everything he wants is grumpy and mean. Of course, it is. I look forward to the time when he’ll be too embarrassed to say that I was right… It will happen! But as a nod to the…

Journaling Tips: The Mindfulness Journal
[disclosure] Mindfulness. This has become a very commonly-used word these days. Mindful living, mindful eating … Are there other ways you can incorporate this philosophy into your life? Mindfulness is a complete body, mind, and spiritual practice. Through meditation and contemplation, you begin to remove negative energy from your life. Journaling is a fantastic way to…

Mindful eating is a process that you use to gain control over eating habits. Sometimes you eat when you’re tired, bored, or simply killing time. During those eating rituals, time may seem to pass quickly without your noticing, or even more distressing, you look down and realize that you completely obliterated a bag of snacks that you just purchased that day. Oops! A perfect example of “mindless eating”. Mindless eating is eating without even being aware of it or not even necessarily being hungry. It’s simply just…

Let’s Start a New Spring Routine for Success
It’s another Monday! I hope everyone’s weekend was relaxing so we can all hit this week hard! My daughter has a sleep study tonight (which my husband so graciously volunteered to attend!) so her week has already been altered. I’m not sure if she is going to school on Monday or Tuesday which won’t make her happy. Which alters my week too… But I’m optimistic. It’s really looking like spring here in Texas. While I know that is not the case everywhere, we are going to try to embrace what the calendar says—it’s almost the middle of spring—and see if we can manifest spring! Maybe not… But we can get…
