The Importance of Self-Worth: 4 Steps to Improve Yours
[disclosure] Good morning! Here’s to the start of a wonderful week! One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is the gift of believing in our inherent worth as a human being. Without a clear appreciation of your own worth, you can’t go forward and touch others’ lives in a way that’ll be beneficial to them. Without this critical self-worth, you open yourself up to dangerous toxic relationships and settle for less than you truly deserve in life. Self-Worth and Yourself Your view of your own self can be hard to nail down. We’re so often concerned with what other people think of us that it can get in…

What Do You Want Out of Life?
[disclosure] I know I have touched on this topic before, but circumstances have brought these questions back to the forefront again… I’m sure many of you have experienced the same thing – you lose someone important (parent, child, spouse, friend) and you start asking questions –which you may have asked and answered in your life—about your purpose and your goals. An Unplanned Absence and a Restart
Hi everyone! It’s been a few weeks since I have published on my blog…it’s been a hectic and sad time. My mother died 2 weeks ago. Right after I found out, I got sick – as a transplant patient, that was a big deal. I almost wasn’t allowed to travel to Alabama for the funeral but finally loaded up on antibiotics and antivirals, the doctors let me leave. After the funeral, I spent the next week sorting through the house – helping my father move to Texas with us. We still have to sell it and the car. It’s been very busy! I plan to start regularly publishing again next…

Tips for Getting Your Kids to Eat Healthier
[disclosure] Getting kids to eat healthy is similar to trying to herd cats. My son is the lead cat that needs to be herded! He’s the only person I know who doesn’t like chocolate, peanut butter, any kind of flavored milk, tomato sauce on his pasta, smoothies of any kind (texture), yogurt (again texture), the concept of salad, and the list goes on! LOL. I was told that he would become so hungry as puberty set in that he wouldn’t be such a picky eater anymore. Wrong! While they were hit or miss with my son, I did use some of these strategies for my daughter who wasn’t as…

A Few Natural Remedies for Your Summer Bug Bites
[disclosure] It’s a good Monday! I’m headed to the airport in Bermuda to head back home to Texas. Interestingly, Bermuda has no mosquitos! Unlike Texas. In honor of the Texas mosquitoes that I will sadly be coming back to, today we look at natural bug bite remedies. Summer’s Here! Get Prepared for the Inevitable Bug Bites Summer is the time of year when people are out soaking up sun and engaging in fun outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, taking trips to the beach, and exploring other parts of nature. While the warm air, sunny skies, and free time may be just what the doctor ordered, summer is…
