It’s that time of year again. It’s summer. Kids at home. Vacations and summer activities. Too many things — busy, busy, busy! But being a busy mom doesn’t mean you have to ditch your healthy eating goals. My go-to solution to stay on top of your fitness game?
Healthy summer smoothies!

We know you’re always on your feet, and you may not find the time to create all your favorite healthy meals. Thankfully, smoothies can be a fast and equally healthy option for you. They’re low effort and easy to whip up in just five minutes, allowing you to spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your loved ones.
If your littles are old enough to help, you can get them involved and make it a family affair. It can even become a fun learning activity. The kids can help measure, count, and name ingredients, and they’re more likely to eat what they had a hand in making.
So, go ahead, whip out the blender, and give these healthy summer smoothies a try.
Coconut Water Smoothie with Mango, Banana, and Strawberries
This perfect mix of sweet and tart is all you need to start your day on the right note. Considering the amount of effort you put into balancing your busy life, this smoothie by Bobby Flay of Food Network is the perfect reward.
Summer is the time when all the grocery store aisles are filled with fresh mangoes and strawberries, so it’s like you’re getting a gift from mother nature herself. All you need to whip this up is some mangoes, strawberries, coconut water, and Greek yogurt.
If you want to take it to the next level, you can add some almonds and chia seeds. Just throw them all into a blender and mix until you have the consistency that works for you.
There you have it, a healthy and refreshing drink to go. If you’re vegan and need a substitute for yogurt, almond milk will do just fine.
Avocado Green Smoothie
This healthy green smoothie from Eating Well is for those of us who are trying to cut down on our sugar intake. It provides you with all the vitamins and minerals you need to power through your busy day.
Interesting fun fact, it’s a recipe by musician Jason Mraz!
The smoothie is made from almond or coconut milk, avocados, bananas, spinach or kale, ginger, celery, and ice. If you’ve had little success getting your kids to eat their veggies, this is the perfect way to sneak healthy ingredients into their diet. This beautifully green smoothie is definitely something you and your family need to try this summer.
Citrus Berry Smoothie
Who doesn’t love a tasty citrus berry smoothie? This recipe by Blendtec is so good, you won’t have to struggle to get your kids on board. It’s refreshing, it’s colorful, it’s nutritious, and it’s super easy to make.
The best part is, there are no rules. Just head down to your local grocery store, get some berries, plain Greek yogurt, and your favorite citrus fruit juice, and you’re good to go. So, the next time you want something quick and easy to make, you know what to do.
